Clinical Experience
In addition to her private practice, Ginny is a supervisor and faculty member at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP) and the American Institute for Psychoanalysis (AIP), where she teaches psychodynamic theory. She has given workshops at Harlem United on aging, at Fordham University’s HASA Unit on HIV/AIDS and at the Hunter College Counseling Program on trauma.
Ginny has presented psychoanalytic papers in the U.S. and internationally, and her work appears in professional journals such as The American Journal of Psychoanalysis and Other/Wise.
Prior to opening her practice in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, she was a staff member at the Karen Horney Psychoanalytic Clinic, at the Carnegie Hill Institute for substance abuse and with “Project Liberty” following the World Trade Center attacks.
Her previous career was as a marketing consultant in corporate identity, design and communications.
